A very important thing everyone's missing here. Ziming's father is old order. He sacrificed many things to build what he has. The biggest most probably was not having enough time for his family because he wanted them not to struggle in life like he had to. His only son is the one who carries his name and the line. And his sister understands what the father is going thrú, even if she supports her brother too. So for the father, it's a shock of the highest level, and that's the only way he knows how to react in hurt. Any child who thinks that just because their parents put up an accepting, smiling and supporting front but is/are not hurting, in denial or shock, is just young and stupid. Parents make sacrifices that way too, and cry silently on their own. So be a little understanding.

@JustMe oh my g** here you are making excuses for a shi*** father. so what if he worked his a** off to provide for his family? thats the bare minimum. a parents job is to provide their kids with a comfortable life. if a parent can't accept that their kid may want different things outside of their expectations they shouldn't even call themself a parent. if that man doesn't know how to express his feelings without resorting to anger and harsh words he is not fit to be a parent. he had 20+ years to figure that out so don't you go making excuses for that man. also don't you see that ziming is also making sacrifices? he literally got disowned by his father so he could follow the path he wanted. a parent shouldn't except their child just to fall into their line of work just because that's their child. there really is no excuse for that mans behavior
