Now please tell me that thing about going back with memory erased was a lie.

I thought that she smiled about her getting him all to herself so that she could fill her quota fastest... but it looks like she smiled about knowing that the "dead" girls had simply returned to they're previousee lives.  I gues that that was all she wanted.  Not a very pleasent way to get there though.  You have to be VERY determined to cut deep enough to actually finish yourself off, and for that she would have needed something much sharper than she was likely to have access too... werd

Shouldn't they be happy the number is going down. That means the line is moving.

So she might either get killed, or shes simply suicided since she will just continue her current regular real life without to remember anything about this hotel. Means she doesn't have any strong will to return to any points of her previous life. 
This is just my assumption before am reading to mext chapter.
