Marriage Partner

Summary

Iseohee, a third-generation chaebol, was living the carefree life—living off her wealthy father and spending money without a care. Marriage? Not even on the radar. But one day, Chae Seunghyun, an old acquaintance from her study-abroad days, suddenly proposes: "Let’s get married, Iseohee. You and me." A typical political marriage in their world—nothing new. With his face and credentials, she figures, why not? What she didn’t account for… was his mother: Madam Hong, notoriously known as the Lee Soon-ja of the upper class, a woman infamous for terrorizing her daughters-in-law. Iseohee had always pitied whoever would marry into that family. Turns out, she's the one. “You’re the perfect candidate for my wife.” “Of course, that includes being able to handle my mother.” “You insane bastard.” From a pampered slacker to the future daughter-in-law of hell’s matriarch, Iseohee faces the greatest crisis of her life. Can their marriage survive the storm—or even make it to the altar?
