Summary

Yoshiwara, Edo period's red-light district. After witnessing her parents being murdered in cold blood, Akane, a young girl from a Samurai-class family, sells herself into a popular establishment called 'Akebonorou' in the red-light district of Yoshiwara. There, she is taken under the wings of the brothel's number one courtesan, 'Asakeno'. With her mind set to unravel the truth behind her parent's death, Akane strives to become the top courtesan in this district. Here she encounters a messy haired, lady-killer, Oumiya Sousuke, who is a loan shark and young master of the famous Oumiya Family. He comes in with the declaration to redeem Akane of her debts, to which she refuses. As their paths cross, Akane's fate begins to stir. Is this place truly heaven or hell…? And so unfolds, this bewitching tale set in Yoshiwara, the red-light district during Japan's Edo period.
