I never understand the premise of these fake otome games or stories. In no world, can a prince easily execute or murder a dukes daughter, even if she killed a commoner or low ranking noble. That's basically another Tuesday for a noble. He's the prince, not the king.
Unless the duke has absolutely no political power, it would never happen, since that's essentially the equivalent to starting war and extreme disrespect, and in these stories, the villainess's family is usually still very powerful.

And this is basically the emotional peak of the story. After that, it pretty much goes downhill from there, emotion wise. None of the arcs from future stories will ever surpass this point in terms of emotional conflict. Instead, it basically goes into non-stop "bocchi" or solo action story. Which is fine, and having physical conflict is all good and that stuff. But for someone who craves emotional stimulation over say, action, there's basically little else after this. The from murder to being caught is the height of the story's emotional story telling.
