@Manwoaw yukata isnt layered, and is actually wearable in hot climates. kimonos are layered fabrics usually worn formally back then, In the heian period. yukata's were originally bath robes for nobles, and it evolved into a festival wear during the Edo period and became a casual wear during the edo period. Basically (Kimonos are formal, Yukatas are casual)
