@Wah sorry i was kinda in a state of sleeping but trying to stay awake when i wrote this comment.
What i was tryin to say was that, on the novel, Maurer will ask ilays brother to inform ilay that taeui was kidnapped and that the person ilay has been looking for and the person he had picked up is the same person.
Oh and the rescue operation kinda feels an abduction as well. Burning the forest and whatnot just to make taeui give up running.
