honestly this arc has been my least favorite in the series. theres so much talking and so little action

@Darkae who cares how strong he was in his prime. he doesn't know he's the MC of his story with plot armor. in his eyes he could die any day to someone stronger since that's the kind of world he lives in. that's why it's stupid not to take an easy strength boost like this from snakes that aren't even sentient.

@mImI assuming? it was SHOWN that he got beat and got lucky he didnt get eaten because he was pushed away from the snakes territory. his past achievements are irrelevant because he doesn't have his previous power right now
