This BL is not for the soft-hearted, it is about people who are disgusting in the face of society but just want to get help, especially the nii-chan in this story, I can't go further obviously but I do not want to throw shade at this manga or present it in a negative light.

I just do not understand why people think Yui became a victim again at the end, he didn't, he and his abuser both need help, their relationship Is obviously not going to be sunshine and rainbows because they have went through the same thing and both thought it was okay to do such thing after experiencing it, I'm not saying they are good when they're together it's just the ending wasn't bad like at all for that! I get some people have opinions but if you are just going to have a terrible view on this manga then is your opinion even worth looking at?

Pretty good
If you like the trope "these character's doesn't fit in the manga's brutal environment." Then made in abyss is definitely the one for you! Aswell as well-written adorable characters, unhinged scenes to lighten your mood!
Riko is a great main character, yeah she's a stubborn 'I want to do dangerous things' type of MC, she stays relevant but also the creator lets the characters have their time to shine besides her. Which makes her even better honestly! She is kind and light-hearted, she doesn't pay attention to things that other humans would also.
Nat and shiggy are both cuties, although nothing about them was explored generally its alright, they still are very likeable characters.
Reg is my favorite out of all of them, he's the best character out of them all in my opinion! He's very adorable but oblivious, although the fact his lack of clothes will make you uncomfortable, you will soon enough get used to it since the author said he doesn't really like to add shirts on boys for some odd reason, what I dont like is that he is the type of character to get in all the bad situations! For example – he gets s3xually assaulted by the characters whenever the poor boy breathes, people peek in his pants for no reason at all, and I won't explain further but what has been done to him is very graphic and hard to read, but it's nothing too crazy.
This is a masterpiece completely, you will fall inlove with the characters as soon as you see them due to their big cute eyes and overall their personality! The only thing I was kinda "meh" about is the constant bad things happening to my favorite character but that's pretty much it.

And now with the MC'S appearance – completely normal, you cant just stare at the mc's thighs and say its sexualised, my man has a serious case (disability) of knock knees so his poses aren't feminine, bro just has no choice its how his legs work.
I dont like characters like Sylpha.. Not only because she's obviously there as a character to get dragged in sexual scenes but because she's kind of weird when it comes to the 10 year old.. Being jealous of Tao getting too close to Lloyd is really strange and it isn't a teacher & bodyguards job to pay attention to shi like that
Overall, If you unfocuse your eyes enough it's a very good manga.
