To summarize, what's going on is that:
1. Dad/Emperor was attacked by a monster on the way home from war and is currently lying in bed, poisoned, and in a coma. Chloe and Ezra (Third prince/Magic tower prince) are working to find a cure to wake him up.
2. Evenne (Bad guy/Noble/Antagonist) is using his swordsmanship school to create a secret army to plot against the royals and probably to start a new slave-trading branch. Or he's trying to recruit slaves for his secret army. Probably wise to also mention that Evenne is also Chester's mother's husband who was the evil, red-haired woman from a few chapters back.
3. Not quite sure where Zed/Second prince is, to be honest. I think he's on the hunt to find the monster that poisoned the emperor. He promised to come back after 5 years but it's already been 5 years so they probably haven't found the monster yet.

Not putting the translators' efforts to shame, but I kinda wanna try retranslating these and sharing them elsewhere so that we can get the full experience of the story. Or even just fixing the grammar would help a lot, I believe. I hope this was useful for anyone else who's as confused as I am though. Don't hold me to anything because these are merely rough ideas of what's going on.

As for the sibling issue, they're all HALF-SIBLINGS to one another. They all have the same dad, who is the emperor, but different mothers because the dad has been trying to get a daughter, who is the cure to the curse. He slept with different women in order to avoid falling in love with them because doing so would ultimately lead to his death. Had Chloe's mother lived, the emperor wouldn't have to keep trying for a girl and would happily fall in love with Chloe's mom because the curse was lifted when Chloe was found.

The eye color thing is also a bit off-putting and I find myself thinking about it a lot more than I probably should. BUT I forgive because the artist still made some attempt to color them, despite being quite lazy. I think it'd be nice to regularly have her eyes change color according to her emotions though :>

Okay... When I saw harimanga/Vinmanga picking up this story, I BOLTED to another website that had muuuch better translations. It was so, so, so good and so clear. (Unfortunately, they stopped working on this story after ch. 54 so I've come back to this website). The plot is really confusing on here simply because these translators are so off. It's one thing using google translate to get an idea of what the characters are saying, but we all know google translate isn't always 100% accurate. They need a proper proofreader who'll fix all the grammar issues and simplify vocab that isn't meant to be as complicated as they make it out to be. I'm spending most of my time trying to understand what they're saying and by the time I reach the end of a chapter, I've completely forgotten what happened.

The plot itself is supposed to be really, really good though. I think what we're most confused about is the crown prince thing. A prince needs to stab the emperor in order to be titled 'Crown Prince'. This probably happened earlier on in life (off-story) and the event is, understandably, irrelevant to the Chloe's story. They are where they are now, right? It's normal in their world, I guess. The emperor is lying half-dead right now, at this very point of the book, because he was attacked and/or poisoned by some mutation of a monster which is what Ezra is currently trying to find the antidote for.
