dude literally witnessed his family's death and died then wake up as a teenager then faught the so-called monster and then get revenge, and supposedly he's free from the guilt of his family's death after the revenge, he came back to the past and trapped in a time loop, reliving the same events repeatedly, which is traumatizing

even tho she's innocent, tbh she's considered as a bystander on the abuse— in his perspective, he didn't know, all he knows that every one from that family is a monster who killed his own happy family 

when he realized that it wasn't the girl's fault on turning back the time, he stopped and protected the fl

he even admitted that he was guilty on killing the fl again and again, and even tho she already forgave him, his guilt is still there

throughout the novel, both characters underwent significant personal growth, realizing their shared pain and victimhoom

writing this for those people who curse him and viewed him as a monster— well he really is, but the circumstances made him one
