First when he was 12 with a maid when he was sleeping that's why he doesn't like women but he's slowly warming up to the fl and noah(his child). Plus i think him not being close to noah is because of his resemblance to mother(his ex wife) also based on how he described noah's mother i think she forced herself onto him and that's how noah was conceived. On the new chapters he feels nauseous on seeing noah or touching noah because he sees his ex wife on noah, but he still cares about the child he just can't stand seeing the resemblance of noah and his ex wife he gets very tense and nauseous that's why he tries to avoid him as much as possible. But step by step he's warming up. He even thinks the fl resembles noah more than her bio mother and he feels at ease when he thought of that.
