I left for a couple months to build up some to binge read and not only was there not a lot, but there's been no character development for joo. 50+ chapters and we still know nothing more about him and there's no change to his behavior. There's been no growth in either main characters or their relationship in all this time. That slap was quite epic, but if there's no development by the next time I come back in 2 or 3 months, I sure won't be finishing it. And after such a great, promising start.

There's a lot worse abuse in life than physical. What Rui is doing is 100% abusive and is hitting every trigger for me as a female who always hung out with boys until they started getting wet dreams, then it all went downhill. Then none of them were interested in just friends anymore. I had to wait until nearly 40 to find men willing to be just friends for friendship sake again.

Rui is a huge red flag. "Oh, you don't want s** from me? Then f*ck you, you won't find better." He makes me way madder than Joo from Jinx. Shion is only his friend so long as he's the b*tch of their relationship. It's a straight up fake friendship. He's the kind of guy who won't be a woman's friend if he can't f*ck her. At least Joo is honest about being a total a$$hole. That's the difference here. Honesty. And Rui is making every hair stand on my body with caution and spite due to his total lack of honesty. Have known too many real life men like him. Shion isn't his friend. He is to rui as a fat girl is to a skinny girl at the bar, just there to make the skinny one look better.

Rui feels like a big red flag. Too bad there was only enough of that potion for the lesser womanizer. Rui is clearly the one who needs it. I've met too many men like him in my life, who are only interested in getting their d*ck wet. At least Joo from Jinx is honest about that part. Rui is pretending to be a friend. A true friend wouldn't act like that. He's the kind of guy that I'd kick in the b*lls and not feel the least bit bad, just hope it prevents him from leaving a trail of single mothers behind.
