She did not directly do anything but she also didn't try to learn anything about the outside world, ever heard of 'ignorance is not an excuse'? Just cos she was happy living in her little safe bubble without caring about anything else doesn't absolve her from responsibility. At the end of the day she was a noble and she owed that responsibility of 'caring' to the people. She was ignorant BY CHOICE and now she has to face that consequence.
