Okay, so after this fight, there’s a bit of a cold-showder moment and after some days MC sees a plane crash at his workplace and realizes, “Oh no, life’s too short,” and decides he wants to make up with his boyfriend. But then he comes home and finds out that the boyfriend’s dad died.

Boyfriend is obviously really sad, and he has to go back to Germany. MC asks if he should come with him, but boyfriend declines. And basically, MC doesn’t realize that he needs to do more, which is also kind of what happens over the next few weeks. He tries to support him from the sidelines, but he just doesn’t do enough. He’s not really there; he just sends messages and stuff, while boyfriend becomes really distant.

The big problem is that boyfriend had a fight with his dad before he died, and it was all because of their relationship and everything surrounding it. So it’s really awkward, and MC also doesn’t really want to go to boyfriend and his family because they don’t approve of him. He’s there for the funeral, but it’s still really awkward.

Then, as time goes on, MC keeps trying to contact his boyfriend, but boyfriend remains really cold and distant. Eventually, boyfriend surprise-visits him. They have a talk, and basically Boyfriend wants to end things.

But by then, MC has learned enough from talking to his friends and has realized that he needs to do more. And he’s like, “No, no, no, I don’t want this to end. I will chase you.”

And then the chasing arc begins, where MC showed he changed and tries to win his boyfriend back. Boyfriend is still kind of distant and everything, but MC keeps trying, and slowly they start getting a little closer again.

Then, at one point, they’re talking on the phone when MC gets into a car accident (which is also how boyfriend’s dad died). So boyfriend is REALLY shocked. But MC is fine! Everything’s fine! Still, boyfriend is completely shaken by it and realizes, “Oh my God, I would rather die than live in a world without you.”

And that’s when he realizes that his thoughts are stupid, that he needs to stop torturing both of them, stop being distant, and that he should finally accept that they love each other and deserve to be together, no matter what happened before.

And they get back together.
