@alibcan yeah about disciplining i agree it must be done afterall thats parenting your child but I dont agree with hiting your kid. At least I grew up never being hit by my parents of course I was punished for my actions many time but my parents never raised their hands at me. And I would like to believe I turned out really respectfull to the people around me. I think you can definelly discipline your child without needing to hit them. When I talked with my friends about this I notice some things ( but of course this is just my experience around the topic not saying this is a absolute truth) my friends that got hit when doing something bad actually developed some sort of bad coping mechanism or simply overwall didnt learn the lesson it just created either resentment or fear in their relationship w/ their parents and as we know this always spreads in different forms to other areas of our lives. So i dont know. I believe disciplining a child is more about teaching them educating them showing consequences but also making they think for themselves on what is right and wrong and explain in the best way you can until they understand... its hard extremelly hard it needs so much patience and it can definelly get stressfull to a point you just want to yell at your kid or take the easy turn when parenting but also parenting was never suposed to be easy if you chose to be one be responsible and raise your kid the best way.

btw the thing about oriental family hiting as discipline depending on the family it gets pretty abusive and disrespectful like slaping or belts and other instruments being used. My mother always told me that her mother used always her hands so she could feel the pain she was transmiting to control her strengh because when you use an object sometimes it can get out of control without you noticing it.

@alibcan sir im asian.... hahahahah
its not about what kind of family or culture it is. its actually much more simple some people arent meant to be parents and some people are bad and bad people can end up being your family member unfortunally.
people make mistakes, people have traumas and those things can definely affect a family member specially the most close ones.
So i know it seems hard to grasp specially if you have a good family structure with healthy relationships. But it doenst mean everyone has the same luck and privilegy

ps I will say that in asian culture is really accepted paremts hiting their kids specially if your kid is a guy the dad sometimes takes as it must happen to dicipline them, but again thats in some families definelly not all of them, so 'western culture is beyond repair' sorry but oriental culture and many more have some fuc*** up sh**. Go experience and leanr more about the world dont make conclusions without actually studing it first. oh and yes oriental culture gives family a lot of importance but i will say ive heard sh** that happens on oriental families that fu** up a child... so yeah hahah

@alibcan humm im not sure about that... i think you should trust family to a certain degree depending on the contexts family can be your worst enemy. Homophobic, agressive, pushing bondries, ra** and so on... humans are still humans even when blood ties then together
