The interesting part about this is that the Kowloon District actually existed and it sort of was like a whole separate society with their own laws and rules, sort of like their own country and all kind of shady stuff happening there! If you're interested in it there is an old documentary on YouTube of it.

The District always gave me contemporary cyberpunk vibes, so consider me intrigued with this story!
