Bro's like: "There's a mythical disaster and crisis on this country? Send in the cook."
Also both wings of the future Pirate King acknowledging that Luffy loves Elbaph so it's their duty to protect it is just chef's kiss.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DON'T TELL ME IMU IS A MISUNDERSTOOD JOYBOY FANBOY WHO MISCONSTRUED JOYBOY'S WORDS AND TWISTED IT WITH HIS UNSHAKEABLE DEVOTION.
Then again I trust Oda enough to not go that route. Imu was definitely waiting and preparing for the "end times" with Nidhogg being a clear sign of Joyboy's return. Bro probably wants to settle an unfinished debate with OG Joyboy. Btw, bro can tank hits that would crumple almost anyone in this verse. I'm VERY glad the Devil himself bleeds and he wasn't given the Mihawk treatment.
I'm not happy with it but I'm glad from a storytelling POV that both Zoro and Sanji got rocked instantly by a nerfed Imu. Now he looks like someone who Luffy truly has to team up with another power hitters like his co-Emperors of the Sea to defeat or weaken later on. An actual raid boss.
The Loki and Luffy, possibly Gaban, face off against Imu would be cool, but it's gonna end on a stalemate or big a** whooping by Imu. We're getting another power up arc during/after Elbaph.
Please, you were getting your sh** rocked Mu. Stay in your crib and let the immortal oldies handle it like usual.

(bro's probably gonna use an ancient weapon, again)
Bro, that shot of Summers eating Luffy's abomination of a punch is the most explicitly violent panel of Oda so far. His eyeballs were literally popping out and not for comedic purposes lmfao.
Well deserved. Now I need that to be PERMANENT
Completely irrelevant to everything that's happening rn but every time this time period's Shanks shows up, he's looking more and more like Roger. All that's missing is the iconic strawhat.
I'm sure Gaban is having a blast reliving his memories of fighting alongside his captain with this Shanks.
Yeah nah, Harald is one of those tragic characters you can see from a mile away because of the current Elbaf's status as a nation. He was endlessly optimistic despite many warnings especially Rocks's warning and with what happened with him on G** Valley. What would be more interesting to me is if he still survives to this day despite being "officially" dead and is preparing in the shadows to retaliate against the World Goverment. If he doesn't, I'm sure he's left his sons and successor a contingency plan with how to deal with Imu and the World Government.
Shanks the Rat King strikes again. He dipped after a year of espionage and probably after learning about Nika and the Gum-Gum Fruit which he successfully intercepted 2 years later. Bro is who Sanji would've became if he was still given stealth and sabotage scenes by Oda.
Man, Rocks was such a legend. The fact that we knew the government heavily downplayed what happened with the Valley incident but not to this extent. The One Piece animators are gonna go crazy again when the time to animate these past couple chapters come and probably partly the reason Toei decided to make One Piece a seasonal anime in the first place.
Also rest in peace Harald. Bro took another wrong action despite his best intentions but we all know current Elbaf isn't part of the World Government yet so this gesture of his was for naught. Imu is a bigger puppeeteer than Doflamingo ever was.
Nothing like snuffing your hopes away while you can feel your precious seconds of life tick down then when your last ray of hope arrived, she's mentally and physically broken that she'd 100% try to curry Raoul's favor to lessen her punishment.
Two solid wins against the royal family.
So this "mass" thing is the key to hurting these immortals. Seems like Gaban is using a lesser version of this so he can temporarily put them out of commission but they'd regenerate eventually. He's also past his prime so if anyone can do a similar version to Garp and Roger, it's Luffy and Zoro.
Also Polo pirates. Marco Polo. It makes fuc**** sense LMFAO. There we go, Marco has a surname now. It'll be a nice loopback if Graham taught Whitebeard the value of family ties and he then eventually welcomed Marco as one of his sons.
The fuc**** power levels in the previous chapters are unheard of. Even if you put in together all the big hitters in the current story, you won't get this level of firepower especially in terms of Haki. As of the moment it's just Shanks, Luffy, Mihawk, and possibly Zoro are able to contend in the same stage as these legends but at this point I would include Blackbeard in there cause there's no way the mfer doesn't have Conqueror's too. Even then, the fact that both Garp and Roger infused their voices with haki to call out to Rocks? Next level badassery.
We haven't even talked about the lore implications that Imu is afraid of two figures and the current generation has both Davy's and Joyboy's successors rampaging around while a Celestial Dragon who was Roger's protege is still a dominant player while just moving around subtlety while casually proclaiming "It's time to claim the One Piece"
Imu should be quaking in their boots rn. The G** of Fire/Warrior of Liberation himself has awoken alongside Xebec's son while the Elders have been proven to be not be enough against a newly awakened Nika. We'll see how the G** Knights will fare against Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji soon.
