I LOOOOOOVE slowburn misunderstanding plots. I know not everyone's a big fan of the misunderstanding trope, but when an author really drags out a juicy one like this, the pay off is SO satisfying when the character(s) finally learn the truth.
@Wolofi THIS. Readers tend to dislike "dumb" MC's like Mako, but there are some genuinely pure-hearted people in the world who strive to see the best in everyone and every situation and just hope to be loved. They get taken advantage of a lot, but being kind to a fault isn't the worst thing someone can be.

You know what hurts most? There are ppl like mc that exists and like him most ppl uses them🙁...
I'll never understand how a majority of ya'll are so sensitive. Obvs there are things that can never be justified, but at this point, shouldn't we all know which immoral/harmful tropes to expect in BL? I'll never understand the outrage and drama in these comment sections lol if you don't want to come across SA, incestuous jokes, and whatever else we see ALL THE TIME in BL, wrong or not, maybe this is not the fictional genre for you? Settle down, pls.
Not just Mako, but why is his boyfriend dragging the relationship on?? Mako's at least trying to make things work and revive it, because that's what people hope for when they genuinely like someone, but the boyfriend is clearly over it.
