As much as I hate the MC, he's hurting a lot from what we know from the story. He was never really the brightest to begin with and with their shi*** explainations of what is right and wrong throughout the beginning of the story when he had no idea just like Gobi, he was used for what he had in his pants and then fell in love with s** as he had more and more ample opportunities to have it. He's a terrible person, but everyone who effected his view on s** and interpersonal relationships honestly are just as bad if not worse. The entire story is full of terrible people, one of the only good ones is Gobi.
