@Unlio Yep this is a typical story about a small misunderstanding that grew into a huge problem, but tbf he was 14 so emotional maturity is a big ask for most teens.

I think if he had talked with her from the beginning nothing like this would have happened

Such a loyal woman deserves way better and such a coward man deserves nothing, but love is blind and allat so this should make for a different kind of story than usual so it's fine. Also I guess that they keep such a moronic maid cause as commoners they have lower standards than nobles? xD

@Kurou He's literally officially engaged to the Saintess and they were even planning the wedding, the fact that he denies it to Sofia so he doesn't look bad in her eyes just makes him more of a scumbag, the Saintess turning evil is exactly what would have happened to a "villainess" in that situation where her noble fiancé is neglecting her and giving attention to someone else, this ML is the usual template for an "a**e prince that banishes his fiancé to be with a more kind girl". You're thinking about it the wrong way as if this was a modern relationship.

@xXEdgelordeXx You really don't understand things aren't you If bro didn't firm with his a...

It's funny how the author made a centaur monster girl but then made her appear as little as possible and on the rare occasions that she does most of her horse body is covered, if they were gonna be so lazy about it they should have gone the Uma Musume route and just given her horse ears and tail, usually the first slave is an important character but she rarely ever appears..

Semi-freeing the senior slaves and giving them a wage or basically the right to be free and live and work on their own with the skills and health he gave them is obviously the fairy-tale moral thing to do, but since he has been ok with slavery for so long and this would result in a mayor profit loss because of the time it takes to heal and train each slave on top of this eventually resulting in competition for his own businesses (the slaves could work for someone else, start similar business and train competitors) this feels like a real REALLY stupid move, but I guess this is the kind of stuff that is to be expected from a fantasy setting where the MC will not see any sort of realistic consequences as a result from being stupidly naive and kind..

The old man is most definitely a self-insert cause there is no way any regular human being other than the author would think that something like "oops my bad I abandoned in an unfamiliar town a 7 year old child who I already knew was neglected and hated at her own home and thus became mentally unstable" is something forgivable that people would just laugh off as a silly mistake, on top of that the "old man" has the personality of a manchild trying too hard to act like a "cool adult". In "father takes care of child" stories you're supposed to admire the father, not feel like he's a selfish scumbag (even if he's weak physically he should have strong morals and personality ).

If this was a revenge story with a ML no one would bat an eye, but the moment a FL does something like this everyone malds and seethes about it. I personally find it refreshing that a villainess finally acts like one, she is just giving them exactly what they wanted.

Finally a FL with common sense strong enough to do things by herself and no unnecessary mercy for people who don't deserve it, they are exceedingly rare. I also like that they didn't immediately push romance right after the engagement breakup, that always feels so forced and shameless, there is a time for everything but they always rush. Easily one of my top 3 favorite FLs from an OtomeGame-like setting.

For me it still feels like the ML became unreasonably cold and even hostile towards the Saintess just out of spite towards his Father and the Pope which really seems like a douchebag move considering how they were childhood friends, in any other manga where the "actually good villainess" is the MC he would be the selfish prince that everyone hates for neglecting his fiancé and cheating on her with another girl just cause she's kind and cute (and this isn't even Sofia's fault cause she only cares about her son and isn't making any moves on him).

I feel like the ML is completely selfish and unreasonable, the Saintess is supposed to be his childhood friend but he started ignoring and avoiding her as a tantrum because of his father when she hasn't done anything wrong and clearly loves him, in a modern relationship it would be ok to reject her but in a noble society where he has benefited from the wealth of his position his entire life he can't really complain when his father demands he takes one for the team. He is the exact type of a**e you would hate in other type of Villainess FL story where she gives all her life for the prince and he selfishly choses someone else just because she's pretty and kind, and this is not Sofia's fault at all because she's more interested in her child and isn't making any moves on him at all, he's the selfish douchebag..
