This was cute. If this whole story is a train wreck, where you can't look away, no matter how horrible it gets, because you hope someone survives it, this chapter was like seeing a dog jump out of said treinwreck with minor injuries (those being the FL being on the developmental stage of playing house).

Yeah, when you don't know what you're agreeing to, you're not actually agreeing to it. Hence why we even have terms like "informed consent". But atbleast ML seems to be aware enough not to push...

Why would he tell that to his rival? Does he want him to not move on? I think he's getting a kick out o being jealous and having a rival or something. He's trying his best, yet he's still a creep.

Dear G**, I hate the ML. He does not care one bit for what Iroha wants or is even comfortable with. And he already tried to gaslight her. What a creep.
Although the cluelessness of the FL is also a pet peeve of mine.
But since this isn't a development,  but at the core of the story, I have a vague hope of his character arc being "learn to respect and empathise with the person before me" and hers being "learn to assert what I actually want, and don't let people just use me for their own wants". 
Right now, this is like reading adumpster fire of a story on r/relationships.
