I have the weird impression that this thing is sort of dragging on, or stalling. I am no sure. Maybe it is due to the fact that you have to scroll endlessly for truncated sentences to be completed, and it gives the impression for the thing to be a drag. Or maybe because an idea is slowly developped over 30 panels instead of just being exposed in just a few concise text bubbles like in order works. But it all gives the impression for things to be really slow. Even though the story does make progress. Weird.

@Froggie Yeah, one of the last image is terrible lol. Maybe they wanted to put them in the background to give the illusion of perspective? Or maybe they were meant to be kids? Anyway, the result is atrocious 🤣. But well, these are weekly chapters. The deadlines must be pretty hardcore.

@Byul They are both failures. Qiao has massive wrongs, too. She never even tried to fit in her new environement. She refused to acknowledge that raising in status implied expectations and responsabilities. All she ever did was cry and wait for her husband to confort her and protect her. She never tried to stand for herself. She is a disgrace as much as he is.

I felt sorry to Qiao....
The scene in bed with the maidservant... It is MUCH more detailed in the web novel. He went all the way, and rammed up like a train for a while. Then, they got found while doing it out by EVERYONE. I mean, the only ones not there are Feng Zi Rui and Feng Yao shi. Even the servants are there. And the scene with Chen shi losing it is just top notch. The webnovel, despite the hapazard translation at times, is truly enjoyable.
So... She can guess things right out of the blue, but can't fathom that he may actually be faking his injuries for whatever political reasons or such? Ok... I can see it coming. The BAD old 'misunderstanding trope' that may last hundreds of chapters this time. I am already tired of it. This is without even considering the 'oh, i have acces to pretty much all modern medications and technology i want despite living in an ancient era' kind of nasty deus ex machina bound to kick in any time MC has a problem.
Gosh, why would you even WANT to hide your identity at this point? What is the f*cking point? Because the MC is much cooler if nobody knows him/her ? That's a japanese trope, not a korean one. Give me a break.

@Tash Reminds me of the philosophy examination at the end of high school in France some years ago. The question was: "Audacity" ("culot" in french, but hard to translate accurately in english). 4h hours to write an essay on it. One guy just wrote: "Audacity is this". And just returned his sheet, writing nothing more. Got perrfect score.

Oh to be able to answer a question that quickly and get it right pepe-2 sticker...
Ok, i finally get it... The historical site... It was fake. The Raon guys filled it with Vishi's family's belongings. They added the original of 'Legend of Siyo' there... All just to vindicate Bayan. What an EXPENSIVE plan...
Theory: i am pretty sure that the whole: "the punishement of g** is having you kill the person you love most" Is a very Raon-like misinterpretation of what happened with Ga-Yu. That would be meaningless. G0d would punish his sons for the crime of killing the Siyo by making them kill more Siyos...?
There was ONE thing MC was meant to handle, and that was the rubin powder incident. Result? Once again, the Emperor did everything. Karan said that she is sharper than most, but this is clearly a lie. Plus, Seems like Sama Hyeon and Minister Ye finally got caught, but we didn't get to see them get what they deserved. We only got a cold report about it. Not rewarding in the slightest. This 3rd season happens to disappoint me so far.
Culprit? Random guess: The Emperor framed Jahan for it? Maybe this is about something else entirely, but i wouldn't be surprised if Dhan wanted to get back at Jahan all the while discrediting him through an accusation of false testimony motivated by an 'old grudge' (his father Danim's disappearance for example ?).
The writing is good: here, at the beginning of the chapter, Karan states everything that i was thinking. And all the reasons why MC annoyed me: the submissive, weak-assed, passive housewife type. When she was meant to be the master. Karan is right. THANKS KARAN ! HAIL KARAN ! KARAN FOR LIFE !
Turns exactly as i expected. In the very beginning, i expected MC to take the exam. This is not a japanese manga, but a korean one instead, so i was hopeful (top reason why i stopped reading japanese mangas). Then, almost right away, it became clear that she was studying for the sake of basically becoming a housewive (which made me want to run away as if it was a japanese manga)... Made me want to crush my head against the wall. At that point, i thought.... "Ok, this is this kind of story again. Even if she does end up taking the exam, this will be because she obeys someone's else advice. Not because she can decide for herself. Because despite having pushed by opening the exam to women, she never considered being anything but a housewife herself". She was meant to be the "master" in her relationship with the Emperor, but it is very clear that she is nothing more than the stereotyped shoujo girl through and through.
Once again, the guys make all the decisions for the girl while the girl waits in the closet. Nobody considered to ask her input on matters about herself. No need. SHe is a woman after all... 😡
