I have a theory.

What if, the original novel that Daphne told Richard about was a bl love story between Richard and the crown prince. Maybe, in the original timeline due to the "unnatural" nature of their relationship dynamic it was frowned upon and met with persecution by others. However, instead of placing the blame on both parties, everyone placed it solely on Richard, expressing hate and disgust towards him, and subjecting him to terrible mistreatment, which eventually lead to his unfortunate, cruel death. Maybe, that was what that dream Richard had before waking up from the poisoned tea was, a memory of the original timeline. Daphne, who based on this chapter doesn't seem to like the crown prince in that way, espicially not to the point of taking him bac in every timeline, took Richard's place in the novel  and wiped everyone's memory of the first timeline, by maaking a deal with the law of the world, in order to protect Richard from his unjust fate. That however, lead to her taking on Richard's fate of constant demise after marrying the crown prince in every timeline. Now, Richard who has time looped 49 times, is trying to save her from her fate without realizing he's actually settting the story straight, and once more becoming the love interest to the crown prince, restoring his oringinal fate, and reversing Daphne's sacrifice for him.

Sighhh... it seems age really has caught up to him, first dementia, now hearing loss... He might have to go into early nursing home

Power comes with responsibility she says. Use of skills without permission is a crime she says. You don't deserve to be a player she says. How laughable and absolutely hypocritical. As someone who's reading it presently. Her personality has always been like this, she's strong, sassy and bossy most of the time but when it comes to matters of her reincarnation and family, she becomes fretful and anxious because she had a lonely life as Yoon Ji Yoon  and had a horrible father in her earlier years, so at first she couldn't bring herself to fully trust them but as she continued being with them that changed and she started to ove and care for them as her own family, but still kept her boundary because she felt like she was stealing the actual Soleia's life. So, as a sort of self-atonement she decided to protect her father and brothers in place of Soleia who's body she took over; She hasn't fully accepted this body as her new life so she'll feel guilty if anything happens to the family who gave her so much love and patience, Soleia's family.
