This is not a checkmate like other people are commenting. Just like real life the rich and powerful already have withdrawn their money. The president will step down from his position, the bank owner and others directly responsible will go on trial, then locked up and then get bailed later. The the old lady and her husband who lost their money will probably die just like million others. The regular people are always the one who suffers the most.
