@Alex I know right? I feel like he's never fully there. Like he's sweet and all but his desires and motivations are soo obscure. Moreover, he never reassures Lyle enough. Even now Lyle wonders if Ash wants him. Like there's a large fraction of his mind always whispering that Ash might just abandon him or might not find him good enough. Also, its always Lyle chasing Ash. Always. Lyle fell first AND hard. Ash is not desperate for Lyle, the way a lover should be. It feels like he's with him out of pity. And will up and leave when he finds something more interesting. He doesn't have enough depth as a character to pull of the nonchalant attitude as a ml.
