I completely understand Vinny because if I were him, I would do the same. I mean, think about it—he badly needs the money, and then suddenly the competition gets postponed. It would feel like the one thing I was holding onto just disappeared. Like, that was already my plan, my way out, and now I am back to nothing. And if I am in that kind of situation, I would not even see it as a “choice” anymore. It would feel like survival. I would probably start thinking more practically, even if it means bending my morals a bit. Not because I suddenly became a bad person, but because reality does not wait for me to stay good.
