At first I was thinking that the recent chapters are just unnecessary drags but I think I've actually come to like it, I like that they're portraying two realistic dynamics in a relationship. There's the privileged lovesick one and the more logical and reserved one who's of course financially struggling and has a unfortunate past. Let's be real, being in love with someone does make you do crazy sh** and in this context with Jae being born rich he doesn't worry about losing anything because he little to never have been bothered by problems like that which is why he is also quick with his impulsiveness and then there's Garam who couldn't take a risk yet because he doesn't have the freedom to choose between practicality and his personal affairs like Jae do. I don't even take sides because I see myself both in them, a lovesick traumatized financially challenged person haha, but aside that they do need to communicate better which is easier said than done but if you truly want something to work out especially relationships, you have to at some point trust them to hold your vulnerable state as you will too with theirs. Both obviously love each other equally just in different ways, and both of them deserve to receive the love they give. I hope they'll eventually overcome this bc tis probably just one of those many relationship trials. how I love nuanced characters.
