my guy forced the first wife on him he had to pick a woman. at their time and still, till now, his whole focus is figuring out the sh** about the other duke. no sh** he's not paying attention cause that is not something he is remotely concerned with right now. plus he has conflicting ideals about who he is and who the women in his life should be. the biggest reason Lindsey was chosen was because she was in the right place at the right time, so him not exactly having true attachments as a husband yet to her is completely understandable. Plus this a matriarchy in a fantasy setting in a different world why would their choice to go with polygamy be such a bad thing, ITS A STORY = NOT REAL. If you can't get past such a small side story in this you should just drop it,
