@Fix I agree this whole situation is ridiculously stupid. But he doesn't have a choice in the matter. We seen her regenerate even after getting her head cut off and shown she can knock him unconscious with just a word. Also admitting she'll just go back in time to do it all over again.

He can't beat her and he failed to stop it, and the humans are dead set on this as well. So even if he did somehow manage to defeat her and stop it. The humans will just trigger another bomb and redo this entire process.
