It’s probably one of those…dude needs to die so that he sets of on this new path that will lead to a change of events where he can save he country due to specific encounters he otherwise would not have gone through if he stayed with the party. And everyone misunderstood the revelation as him being the source of the peril when in reality him dying was necessary to save them from the peril.

@Samael If I were in a game and had this skill and can control what I summon, I definitely have a bunch of footsoldiers, and one beefy unit, like an undead dragon or something akin to that, if he does that combination those skeletons ain't dying any time soon, the dragon can tank the hits for them with its large health pool, then just have undead healers healing the dragon during the fight
