@Silver_fox it was normal at the time that tis is supposed to be happening. At that time as soon as you were able to produce children your only job as a woman was taking care of the children barring the children an of course trying to get married and stay married. That is also the reason for why you see a lot of the times that king had multiple wife's because he could they can't do anything about it if they complained they loose the title of a wife and get kiked out of the castle. Also because they had children at such a young age a lot of the time the children and the mothers would die that is one of the reason why the life expectancy was so low at the time.

@Panda a good story doesn't just focus on the development of the MC. Also I think they do just the perfect amount so it doesn't feel like he is bland and also so  all the side character aren't. But we shall see.

@Ett i think that the gods just played a "prank" on him. Because the goddes sad that the gods like him and they probably dont want him to just die, and they also probably wanted to see if he is acualy "worthy" so tis isalso maybe a sort of like a callange for him to overcome ( to see if he is smart enough to fegure out that he infact kant die becouse someone fegured out that he is strong)
