Let me preface by saying that I've read over 150 yaoi manhwas but this was the one that compelled me to make my first comment/review. This story is a literary masterpiece. No other manhwa or fictional work for that matter, has ever made me feel such sorrow. This is the first time I've cried because of a fictional story. While I have never experienced even a small percent of what the MC (Geom) was forced to endure, I felt every one of his emotions reflected unto mine. As I read each chapter, I felt my heart clench, not only for what the MC physically endured, but also for the mental deterioration he experienced. The author depicted the MC's trauma and emotions with such vividness that it felt as if they were my own. There were moments while reading the manhwa that I had to simply step away and fully process the raw emotions being projected from this manhwa. Unlike a majority of other manhwas that brush the MCs' trauma under the rug and pretend it never happened, this one graphically depicted what could be described as the true emotions of a victim to such torture. While some might dismiss this story as another "grapey manhwa", I believe that this is one of the very few manhwas that addressed the reality of those who are forced to play this role in society.
Props to the author for not shying away from depicting this harsh reality. The pain and the abuse in this story is raw and enduring, just as it is in the lives of the people who experience such horrors.
Once again, this is a literary masterpiece and will forever remain my favourite fictional work.
