not always! Also how is harem cute or fun? Genuinely. Cause I don't mind poly relationships, they're adorable since everyone loves each other equally, but with harem it always feels like a pervert's fantasy of every single woman in the world falling for the most boring undeserving guy ever, and fighting each other like animals.

The women in harem always serve only two purposes, to be sexualized every panel they appear in, and to fight with other women for the mc. Those are their only character traits. (And well, being biologically female, it has always made me feel disgusted whenever I came across such a story.) So I genuinely want to know your views on harem and why you like them, if you want to share of course

@Kay777 I agree, people shouldn't forgive the things he's done so easily. On one side there's the group that wants him dead, and on the other are the apologists 💀 It's not even our place to forgive him, we can judge all we want, but only Lily gets to forgive or not.

It's truly complicated honestly.. I agree he could have had someone look into it, but maybe he was too busy with everything else going on in his territory to care about doing so. And in his pov why would he when he could just trust his aunt? 

he has no obligation to be nice to her, and I never said it was okay to isolate her and let her be abused, I just said that was (maybe) his way of getting petty revenge without actually doing the hurting himself. (Which is still horrible.)

btw when was it stated he knew she was innocent? I don't remember that. /srs

also it's more like it's no one's fault but everyone's fault at the same time(?) except for our mc ofc, she's just a victim here. Everyone could've done better, he could've tried to grow past his trauma and see reason, his aunt could've tried to be happy for her sister and not try to sabotage an innocent person(Lily), the Everetts could've tried not being human trash, etc.

I am not defending his actions, he has sadly become an abuser(even if he didn't realize or wanted to) but the people in the comments just keep disregarding his past, his struggles, his trauma, how young he is despite everything he has in his shoulders, and expect him to treat her like the love of his life, when he married her for convenience even though she is from an enemy territory, he doesn't love her. He is doing this for his people.

again, BEING ABUSED DOESNT EXCUSE ABUSING OTHERS. But these people are treating him like he's the devil when all he would be is a "fallen angel" if you get me. Cause he has fallen LOW for his behavior, it is horrible, inexcusable, but kinda understandable.

@Tasu I'm so sorry you're going through this, (shi*** fathers and poor mothers gang..) I'm in a similar situation and think the same way, but that doesn't apply here, he had to marry her for his people's wellbeing, not because he wanted to, I'm sure he knows he has problems due to his trauma, and would never mistreat his partner. But he doesn't love lily and he thinks she killed his brother, this is way more complex.

@Okie_Dokie No one is at fault, they both suffered and are traumatized beyond repair. If you need to blame someone blame the aunt, she's the one trying to paint lily in a bad light.

He shouldn't have treated her the way he did, he could have listened to her and what she had to say, but at the end of the day he could just not believe her. His aunt gave him some kind of evidence while she would only give him words, and after all is said and done he has no obligation to trust her words. From his pov it could all be lies, he's entangled in so much at such a young age, broken, traumatized, and betrayed.

Honestly he has no obligation to be nice to her, it would be great since she's our mc and we want things to go well for her, but Theo.. he's so exhausted from everything already, he doesn't have to force himself to spend time with her or develop a relationship with her. After all, he only married her for his people.

In conclusion, blame that bi*** of an aunt he has.

This is actually so complex, cause, yes he shouldn't have treated her like that, but in his eyes she WAS basically a criminal, he thought she KILLED his brother. We know that wasn't the case because she's our mc, but he doesn't, and it was his aunt who gave him "evidence", his only family, of course he'd believe her over a woman from their enemy's territory.

He also did try avoiding her but they just kept running into each other. And neglecting her even though she was being mistreated might have been his way of getting "revenge" for his brother without actually hurting her because he couldn't bring himself to do so.

HE DOES NOT GET A FREE PASS FOR ABUSE. Had he been our mc, and had she actually murdered his brother and then married him for evil reasons, you guys would be praising him. If our mc decided to get revenge by abusing him back you guys would cheer despite previously saying "Being abused doesn't excuse abusing others".

HE DID WANT TO TRY TO BEFRIEND HER BECAUSE HE THOUGHT THEY WERE SIMILAR, HE ONLY HATED HER AFTER BEING TOLD SHE KILLED HIS BROTHER AND WAS OBVIOUSLY RELIVING HIS TRAUMA EVERY TIME HE SAW HER.
