Which led me to think that the man also fell for the MC but in a more forcefull and twisted way, like the scene didn't do it justice but the Mc's words led me to believe that the man also fell for the Mc. The man also seemed to be bothered, especially when the Mc pointedit out saying "You can't forget me, can you?" 
So I feel like theres a forced emotion of love rather than love itself, I dunno tho. I just assumed because of the dialoge choice + the visuals.
