acc i read some spoilers on reddit, and apparently he acc did love her but their relationship is INSANELY complicated. a lot of his actions were affected by things like a magically binding oath, manipulation, trauma, and brainwashing sum like tht. their relationship gets really messy bcs both of them r mentally and emotionally damaged, so a lot of his behavior isnt entirely his own💔💔
