@Tempest I guess it has to do with the beauty standard and some kind of propaganda in the past and that a european once with those characteristics was the base for the so called price effect that started in a anime/manga. I'm not sure but I think I heard or read something about it that they also adore people with blonde hair and blue eyes with white skin cus asians are normally black haired, brown/black eyed with darker skin colour. soo everything I just stated are things I read or heard somewhere but can't quite recalll all cus amnesia I may be wrong with some stuff.
