Well they started dating towards the end of their high school careers. They planned to live together. Cheol was supposed to study in the U.S. Minyeong was going to follow him. As we know the abusive dad took the opportunity that Cheol's uncle provided for Cheol and gave it to his favorite child. I digress. Minyeong outed Cheol. Cheol's father of course beat Cheol. Cheol ran away from home after. Minyeong afterwards did not come back for Cheol. Remember we learned all of this from Cheol's fever induced confessions after his dad beat him again in his adulthood. Once again Minyeong was Cheol's protector and support system. Cheol waited for Minyeong to come to him, and Min never did. We know Min did not show up because he came to the conclusion that he needed means and power to make sure Cheol was always going to be straight( ie protected) he and we know Cheol is a person that craves love and wants to be protected an valued. Min needs to give that to him. As is Mins nature, to love and protect those he sees value in and those who can't do it for themselves. Which is kinda messing with Minyeong because he hurt Cheol, someone he loves, again he outed Cheol to his abusive and negligent family. 10 years later Chelo is divorcing his wife and Minyeong has the means to make Cheol's family pay, and he is taking it out in their a**. It all comes down to them being upset with each other for simply not being around. They could never despise each other. They were sad and lonely for each other. Hope this helps.

@Iris They told us. I don't know if you didn't get it because of the way it's being translated. I purchase the official chapters so I will try to give some clarity. Ji Minyeong and Jeongcheol dated, but before that they started out as friends. Minyeong protected Cheol but more than anything legitimately and whole heartly loves Cheol. Cheol on the opposing side truly saw Min. He saw Minyeong in all his messed up nature and loved him back, not only that he didn't judge him. Min was a person that was surrounded but not seen. Surrounded and pitied. Mind you Minyeong is not a weak hearted/minded person, so that action makes no sense to him and bores him.

1. Seo- In is adopted, adopted because he looks similar to Jaewon, who is sickly and also is a twin. The other twins dies.

2. The mother only adopted Seo- In because he looks so similar and wishes to replace said dead son. 

3. Seo-In is targeted and mistreated by Jaewon because he is honestly just nasty person. Jaewon wants Seo-In to leave, Seo wants to stay because he believes his adopted mom loves him. Which she doesn't, well at the least not in a true way of loving someone. She likes whst he represents. Which is having the child she lost back, all the while not loveing him as that and trying a blind eye to how her biological son truly is. Seo wants a family, so he deals. Now because Seo won't leave Jaewon is making his life he**. 

4. One of the ways he is making his life he** is by hanging over Seo-In head the reason he became orphaned. This leads us into Seo find ways to resist the control Jaewon has over him. 

5. This leads him to find the pic and eventually finding his love and obsession that we know is Baek Yeongwoon. Who Jaewon is also jealous of and hates because he looks at him with what I will assume is pity.
