@. No I feel like he really does have a valid point. He's arguing "efficiency" at taking a test vs. actually learning something. He's actually crazy smart for his age recognizing the short term-benefit and long-term benefit for raising his grades, which the latter he ends up choosing.

Honestly this reminds me of how U.S. education worked back when I was in high school. You don't study to actually learn things.. but merely to pass the exam. Remember literally acing some of my math tests with a 100% score in my last year of high school a few years ago.. but now I remember not even jack sh** about the stuff I spent so hard memorizing just to perfectly execute that one time.

Even that girl said it herself. She said she would raise his grades, and not make him smarter—and even insulted him saying he was stupid and incapable of learning lol.
