I don’t like the MC either.  Living with dignity yes, but the world is literally ending (technically all ready ended, majority of the population is dead) and him on a high horse is unrealistic - to me. Everyone lost loved ones and are lucky to have a can of food, and a section for children to thrive, AND he was able to win over the guy who runs EVERYTHING. Mc still acts as if he expects a perfect civilization - like life once was. Also if he wants to leave (valid but, not something i’ll do) why not leave and start your own click with the ppl who wants to rebel, where the rules and the way things regulate is up to him? it’s because he can’t and he knows this is a golden area (for their circumstances).

What’s the difference from a mage and a witch, in this?

I don’t like that all her loved ones are dead and she has to resort to this in order to survive. but what else could she do without dying?
