For those confused, in the past the woman, Kang Ensoo who collapsed next to incheol was the boxers mother, and not long after she was hospitalised and died. Incheol was supposed to attend her funeral but he was probably too scared and the mayor told him not to go as some belived he was responsible for her death. In the present, incheol had no idea that woman was the boxers mother so that was why he was so shocked when he found out. He also called that man to ask where the kid was, and he told him her kid lives next to him (the boxer).
