I started this for the bl, then got so invested in the plot that I forgot what I came here for. So nice to see some softness again!

Well, I was half right! I knew Meltier was seeing things, too - I just thought he & Shane were seeing the same things

I reckon those dreams/visions that Shane has been having about Meltier's past are memories that Meltier has gotten back since joining Shane; and that's why he's gradually become more reluctant about learning more of his past, finding people who know him, etc. it will be interesting to see how this plays out... 👀

Forget the living, I just want to protect all these poor heroes... They can't even rest in peace, and then they're only valued if they're strong, which most don't seem to be; and even then, they're still bound to people as slaves, after already spending a lifetime of fighting. Like, they may be dead, but they're still people, too, and don't deserve this...

I wish I could give Meltier a hug through the screen. Poor baby, no one's gonna abandon you; and if they do, I'll beat them up & take you in! You're too precious 🥺

He's 2 star... for now... I bet he unlocks 5 star, legendary status after he learns his name, past, etc. Unless he starts as 2 star, and slowly gains stars the longer he's with MC. Either way, there's no way someone like him is gonna stay 2 stars!

When the heck did Maythan end up falling for Carsen??? For most of the story, he's been pushing him away; and in their more recent interactions, I got acquaintance to possibly friends vibes, but there wasn't really any indicator of a crush. Like, yeah, there was that intimate moment where Carsen hugged Maythan & he said something about holding his hand for a while to comfort him; but even then, I felt like that particular moment was a possible turning point to show that Maythan may have started to develop a crush; and it didn't feel like it had developed enough to become love at this point. I guess it seemed like he wasn't interested in anyone, or perhaps had a better bond with Cedric, because it didn't feel like he was focusing on/paying special attention to just one particular male lead. Oh well, I'm already this far, might as well read the rest. Even if the relationships don't feel that strong to me, I do like the concept. It's been an interesting read!

Yes, Maythan, take him out! Just make sure he survives, because death is too nice a punishment for someone like him
