Indeed. Truly, war is a terrible affair in which it is hard to maintain ethics and morality and in which neither side is fully evil or good. It should be avoided for the betterment of mankind and for the spiritual development of man.

As a young boy, I watched my entire family get torn apart by Archies. Father, Mother, Sister, Brother, and even my dog Jack. I only survived because the Mobile Infantry saved me at the last second. When you see your family in literal peices, so that the point where one body starts and another ends is impossible to tell, it changes you. I see a bug and I see a threat to humanity. I see a bug and I see my family torn to peices in gory piles.

So yeah, bugs did hurt me, and they hurt me good. So until the last bug is wiped from the planet my pain ain't gonna stop.

"Our ancestors" did it isn't always a good excuse to do something. In the case of marriage, and by association intercourse, just because some of our ancestors married and cosumated at very young ages does not mean it is okay now. Our ancestors used to enslave people and deprive them of their natural rights, but no one would use that as an excuse to allow slavery.
In the West, 18 is the normal age of consent for the individual regardless of s**, class, or race. It is a period of time which people become full adults. It gives them legal rights and privileges to prepare them for full adulthood. Additionally, age gap is only an issue if one party is a minor. A 50 year old consumating with a 40 year old is not an ethical issue, but a 12 year old consumating with a 20 year old is.
