@nyan I know I'm replying to this even though you made this comment 5 months ago but this statement has actually been proven incorrect. Koogi herself has confirmed Sangwoo genuinely loved B** and not for the fact he reminded him of his mother. Even without the claim, you can clearly tell the improvement on how Sangwoo treats B** as the series goes on because it's rather obvious in itself lol... You can find the proof probably in a Twitter post if anything btw.

@CHIZU you can believe what you choose to believe, I didn't come here to argue. If you feel you stand correct on your words so be it.

@CHIZU Violence and torture is something normal to him, meaning since he grew up around it he now thinks it's just a casualty of life. Which he's stated before in a chapter. And don't say something along the lines of "he's a grown man he should take responsibility regardless" because CLEARLY, he still has a childlike mind. There are so many chaps with scenes where he's acting like a kid or over explaining unnecessary things like a kid would do, overusing hand gestures or making noises with his mouth when talking about something. example: pwah, boom, whoosh,, ykwim.
Saying that it'd be/it is an insult to people who's actually gone through stuff like this or actually have mental illnesses is an insult within an insult. The whole point is that the characters portray their illnesses to show just how bad it can really get.
His mental illnesses aren't to be taken lightly considering the book itself is a Psychological Horror theme, so we're expected to take every little detail seriously and analyze it so we have more knowledge on what's actually going on 💔💔
nd no, this isn't some Sangwoo d-riding team so please don't confuse it for that. I'm just simply stating facts based on what I've seen. Your opinion is valid and understandable but you gotta see his side from a different perspective mg..

@CHIZU  no, trauma doesn't excuse, but it can make his actions more valid and easy to forgive considering everything he went through. We have to see this from his POV. an abusive father who was never home, then a mother who always hopped guys then ended up killing the father and raping Sangwoo, which landed in her death. What she did to him took a heavy toll on his viewpoint and mindset, which is probably why some of the comments he makes are very childish and-or uncalled for. Sangwoo's mentality is broken and more twisted than others, and he holds no fault for what he's done. His actions are driven by the trauma he endured from his family and not for any other reason you may think. It is PURELY because of what has happened to him. Sangwoo has no control over his episodes which we've all seen him have,, like crying out of nowhere, getting mad for no reason, crashing out over something as small as dropping a plate on the floor. What he does and what he says is a reflection of what his mother and father did to him, meaning he is only repeating what he has seen. It is not because he is a vile person, but he was raised around vile people who did nothing but hurt him. he's not just some crazy guy with a bad past he's mentally and physically traumatized to the point he has psychotic episodes he can't control. There has been many chapters where he's suddenly snapped out of whatever trance placed in, realizing the depth of his actions and regretting them internally but being too proud to speak up.

With the "every abused kid should become a serial killer" mockery statement, you're not understanding the fact this was more than just abuse. It was something deeper that really screwed him up. Plus, not to mention: he witnessed his mother kill his father,, then was physically abused by her once she had officially lost her mind.
