This manga is so good and with no cliches

I love this comic but I feel the author has spent too much time on the sm** part and the violence at the beginning and not enough character study and development. Like... it's not enough for me to know that JK had a toxic childhood... ok so? I wanna see more vulnerability in his adult life and not just anger, anger, anger, aggressiveness, anger... and then poof he's in love with KD... no, man..
It should have been that JK was using KD but with less aggressive behavior. It was more plausible for KD to fall for him that way. And then eventually JK should have shown KD some of his hurt.
And another thing missing is the fact that KD enjoys the hem, physical activity. Like, show me that he's actually into it but scared or I don't know, so that it doesn't feel out of character when he sucks difk
