Well my pov is, ilay is sicko who can't even deliver his feelings well. So when he ask Tay if Tay love him or not and didn't get a reply back, he gets angry cause he feel like he open up a bit but nothing works. Of course, he thought his way of opening up to others is such a big step cause he never been vulnerable before yet, he gets so angry when tay get quiet. That's why he force his feelings on tay.. and when tay cried, he gets so angry that he feels scared and terrible about it but he don't understand why.
