@A_12  oh! Gaston was training away from this family to became a knight. There he meet a senior knight who seemed legitimate and good person at first. Gaston kind off idealised him and worked under him as his assistant (comment practical for young knight to help older knights). He realised it quite late that what he was helping with was human trafficking. He wanted out but was threatened by the bad guys that if anyone find out about this, he will also be blamed and his family will suffer. Gaston was still a child and did not know how and whom to ask for help.... So he kept his head down and kept working for them.
Also they purposely targeted Gaston because his family was close to the Duke. Even if the human trafficking was found out, the Duke of Avron will definitely be questioned

@Whatever The mine is something important to ML (i think it was his mother's property), which was taken by the emperor. ML wants it back and the emperor holds this upon ML to command him to do things. But as shown in this chapter, the princess (the b*h), who was managing the royal properties have already given it to FL (saying this mine can act as her dowry when she marries the prince). And the under the pretext of 'oh i care for u', made the FL do her work and took all the credit. Now the emperor want the mine back, but guess what she does not have it..... And now the princess is panicking to get it back.

@Titania07 i thought so too but his eye and hair colour does not match. Raul has like orange hair and grey eyes..... ( I went dack to check 😅)...
