okay so i got the part where kihoon is yeon's guard right...let's see how much more i can get right! (oh yeah i knew 'hong' meant red because my mandarin lessons r paying off im so proud of myself can someone tell me they're proud too)

theory updated: kihoon and yeon def dating/ had some history in their past life as we saw in yeon's dream and kihoon's memory. kihoon remembers. Kihoon probably knows and remembers (vividly) about the stakes of their relationship, and doesn't want that to happen again. not sure if i mentioned this in my last theory, but kihoon saw yeon dying. and since he was so scared of the word 'protecting', it's best assumed that kihoon failed to protect yeon from something. and yk, that's his main purpose in his past life. as you can see from yeon's flashback, yeon is someone royal while kihoon is most likely a guard or smth. so past life kihoon, madly in love and tasked to protect yeon, was extremely traumatised from yeon's death. that's why when kihoon got hit by a car, the thing that troubled him most was 'what if it was yeon instead of the scout?' and then kihoon said that he was so scared at the thought of yeon's death being caused by him, which imo sounds like he's speaking from experience. this is why i said kihoon remembers what happened in the past. hopefully as we go through the story, we'll see if kihoon knows yeon tied the string to him and changed his fate (leading to the misfortunes) and if that's the reason why he's anxious of yeon.

theory: so we know that yeon rewrote his fate using the strings to end up with kihoon. and we know what happens if u rewrite ur fate with the strings. not sure what exactly, but consequences. heavy ones (based on the prev chapters). what if yeon's death is the consequence and that happened when yeon and kihoon were together (because they were fated by yeon) so that's why present kihoon has the image of dead yeon in his mind? also, what if yeon slightly remembers the past so that he keeps a mental note to stay away from kihoon. maybe he remembers bad things will happen, but not exactly what. like us. maybe the author is purposely doing this. the author lets us know that there's consequences, but we ourselves are not sure what the consequences are. and we know that it's gon be bad because we saw that dead kihoon panel. maybe the author is tryna pull off some psychological sh** and let us know what yeon is going through by putting us through it. if this is the case, then yeon didn't confess his feelings to kihoon cause he was acred the image we saw (that maybe we saw too) will happen to him. (but honestly all i can do is to continue reading)
