He isn't teaching him while dating but before that...and we can see the MC desperation as to how he run unreasonable errands for ML because he wants to learn so he will be accepted for who he is.
And we both know that they aren't friends... It's an equivalent exchange on their part ... MC run the errands for him (even illegal) and the ML teach him how to handle  his job...
It's like I am not good in mathematics, and a class/school fellow teaches me (not as a favour but in return of something..just as tutors do..) and he/she is my only option.. So I can't go to someone else to learn it (just as the OG MC thought) and we do this every day .if not I will have to repeat the whole year... Doesn't that make it a dynamic relationship??
And lets not forget the fact that the story setting isn't in 2023, where even if someone meet the president of USA, They won't be intimidated... (Like the MC from the future called prince)
Instead that person the MC is learning from is a royal family members (even though he doesn't have power at the time) ...
And that's why I said that I don't understand who has the power...
Since MC is in dire need of him...while the ML is a prisoner of their family.
It is indeed a power dynamic if you think carefully.

They did had constant lessons as that how the MC become good with his work...and I wrote this because of how MC addressed the ML as a teacher... He sure was desperate to learn from him...because he thinks the ML is the only choice.
I see that their relationship happen after their lessons so it may not be a problem in the future...
But if it happens when he is still learning from him it is a power dynamic since MC is in a desperate state of mind...

And I would like to add that I don't mind it since it's just a story plot anyway...
