Cirrus being possessive is a BIG problem ik that it's caused by his trust issues, which ofc is normal for someone who had this many shi*** things to happen. However he should have asked Skylar not to go, or tell him that he isn't comfortable w it. Most of y'all don't realize that this is a massive problem and only say that Skylar shouldn't leave him. Over time this possessiveness makes Cirrus insufferable to live with, Skylar won't be able to go anywhere, with anyone he'll be caged (which in my opinion Skylar won't be able to take, he didn't have friends atfter that, and having them now gave him soooo much comfort) 
So this won't really work out between them if Cirrus won't trush Skylar, who is actually so trustworthy ☹️
